Kung Fu Opens Today in New York and Los AngelesFriday, April 8th, 2005 Making its United States theatrical debut, Kung Fu Hustle is opening today in two major cities, New York City and Los Angeles. The film will open nationwide two weeks from today, April 22nd. American reviews have started pouring in. At the time of this writing, Kung Fu Hustle has a 92% on the RottenTomatoes Tomatometer. Kung Fu Hustle Receives Best Picture At HK Film AwardsFriday, April 8th, 2005 Stephen Chow's 2004 epic comedy Kung Fu Hustle took home several awards at the 24th Annual HK Film Awards, announced March 27th in Hong Kong, including the top award, Best Picture. Other awards included Best Supporting Actor for Yuen Wah, Best Editing for Angie Lam, Action Design for Yuen Woo-Ping, Best Sound Effects, and Best Visual Effects. Nominations for the film included Best Director, Best Actress (Yuen Qiu), Best Cinematography, Film Score, Best Screenplay, Costume Design, and Art Direction.

Kung Fu Hustle Coming StatesideSaturday, March 26th, 2005 Stephen Chow's record-breaking comedy/kung fu masterpiece, Kung Fu Hustle will be opening in theaters in New York and Los Angeles April 8th, 2005. If that's a little too far of a drive for you, the film is being released nationwide on Friday, April 22nd, 2005. This marks the first time a Stephen Chow film has ever been released nationwide in the USA. We strongly encourage you to see it, even if you've seen it before. Send the message to Hollywood: We want Stephen Chow and we're willing to pay! I had the good pleasure of seeing both Kung Fu Hustle and Stephen Chow at Sundance and it's an experience not to be missed. If this is your first Stephen Chow film, prepare yourself to see something completely unlike anything you've ever seen. Bring all your friends!

Two Chow Films Make HK Film Awards Top 100Saturday, March 26th, 2005 "Shaolin Soccer" and "A Chinese Odyssey" make the list on the top 100 Chinese/Taiwanese/Hong Kong films as selected by the Hong Kong Film Awards, to commemorate 100 years of Chinese cinema. 1995's Jeff Lau-directed A Chinese Odyssey ranked at #19, while the 2001 Shaolin Soccer made the list at #76.
